Floating on Green: Idaho 7 - Oat Cream IPA - Single
Floating On Green: Idaho 7 is the newest addition to our Floating series and features a triple hit of Idaho 7 T-90, Idaho 7 Cryo and Idaho 7 HyperBoost™. It's the first ever single hop Idaho 7 beer we've made at Range and it's an absolute banger to kick things off with. Super hazy in the glass and super soft on the palate thanks to huge hits of oats, wheat and lactose to give that smooth floating cloud body and a whippy white foam. On the nose, pungent and expressive aromas that are wafting notes of sweet guava, orange sherbet and passionfruit cream with a hint of woody resin that builds on the intensity. Take a sip and you'll cop saturating and dominating hop flavours of passionfruit, papaya, orange fanta, and a finishing note of woody pine that doesn't necessarily add bitterness but a welcome other dimension to add to the hop complexity. The finish is juicy and succulent, just how we like it.

This style of beer derives it's name from the high quantities of oats in the grist, and the use of lactose. The oats create that plush, hazy base while the lactose brings a smooth, full-bodied creaminess that gives the style its name. TDLR: Oat Cream Beers are all about texture and boy is it PLUSH.
At Range, we like to keep the bitterness low and let the hops do the talking. Expect waves of mango, passionfruit and soft citrus, wrapped up in a juicy, pillowy mouthfeel.
When we dial it up into DIPA territory, the higher ABV amplifies everything: bigger body, heavier dry hop, more intensity. Extra juicy, extra lush, with that signature sticky mango-sorbet finish.
