Blast From The Past - West Coast IPA
Blast From The Past is a brand new old school West Coast IPA that we have loaded up with a fitting combo of Centennial, Mosaic and Simcoe. We’d been playing with the idea of going old school after a few requests from our punters, so here it is. We kicked things off with a malt heavy body – yep, we’ve even brought back the crystal malts for this one – and then hit it with a punchy bittering charge to really harp back to the IBU war days of the late 2000’s. This beer is pulsating with immense amounts of citrus and pine. Both on the aromas and the flavours we're being treated to an oldschool hit of sticky orange marmalade, grapefruit zest, fresh pine and a back of palate blast of resin that leads to a fresh, pithy bitterness. There's no messing around here, the finish is a full on punch of bitterness and pine, entirely reminiscent of some of the all time greats.

Our West Coasts pay homage to a true craft beer classic, typically with a slight modern Range twist to keep things exciting. We like to build these beers on a lean malt bill, resulting in a clean body, lighter colour and high clarity (with the occasional natural hop haze). A firm upfront bitterness leads the way, giving structure and snap to this beer style. Expect layers of pine, resin, and citrus peel, finishing crisp, dry and pleasantly bitter.
